After Maan Gaye Mughall E Azam bombed at the box office, sources close to Mallika inform us that Sherawat is very upset with the film's director Sanjay Chhel. In fact soon after the film began and Mallika realized how it was turning out, she sent him some not so polite messages telling him off."Maan Gaye Mughall E Azam took a long time to be made. And Mallika was actively promoting the film but then when she saw the finished product last weekend and the reviews her acting received, she decided to let h! er feelings known to both Sanjay Chhel and Ratan Jain," informs a source.
Maan Gaye Mughall E Azam was Sanjay Chhel's directorial debut and was amongst the awaited films in the industry. But Mallika, who was hoping to change her persona and appeal in the industry, realized that the film had only backfired for her."She sent Sanjay some nasty smses after the film and even during it. She felt that she had been portrayed very cheaply and that wasn't how she wanted the film to turn out. She is now filming for her Hollywood
But it is not just Mallika Sherawat who is annoyed with the film's director. Rahul Bose was quite upset with the film himself.
"Recently in Pune after the screening there was a press conference. However when the media began asking him questions about the film and how it had turned out, Bose simply walked out of the conference as he didn't know what to say without running down the film or Chhel!" says the source.
